About

Dr. Shuo-Han (Hank) Chen has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Innovation at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) since February 2026. Prior to his current position, he served as an Assistant Professor at NYCU from August 2023 to January 2026. He began his faculty career at the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), where he was an Assistant Professor from July 2020 to July 2023.

His primary research interests include emerging non-volatile memory and storage technologies, memory and storage systems, and next-generation memory/storage architecture designs. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan (2015/9-2018/3).

Dr. Chen has published numerous papers in international journals (e.g., IEEE TC, IEEE TVLSI, IEEE TCAD, and ACM TOS) and conferences (e.g., ACM/IEEE DAC, ACM/IEEE ISLPED, and IEEE CLUSTER). His related experiences in the IT industry include internships at ASUSTeK Computer, Broadcom Corporation, and Telematicus.co.uk.
